One of those obscure shortlines, Alanson & Petoskey ran excursions on the former Michigan Northern, Penn Central, New York Central, Michigan Central, Grand Rapids & Indiana line just north of Petoskey, MI.  They ran for a summer or three in the early 1990's.  I was lucky enough to shoot their unit just before the line died.  At Alanson, MI 6/1/92 RE Holmes photo.
